I have always enjoyed painting but did not start painting full time until late in my 50’s after my place of employment closed. I started by painting a mural in my living room. My ceiling & walls came alive. I had found the next chapter in my life.

I am self taught & carry with me into my art, the advice given to me by another artist (my mom) "When you are painting the 'thing', be the 'thing', feel the 'thing' & allow your brush to bring the 'thing' forth"

I see a potential canvas in many objects. Scraps of wood, furniture, windows, fences, eggs, walls, mailboxes, boots, and curtains have all taken on new life with my brush.
